What is Results Based Facilitation?
Results Based Facilitation is an approach to designing, participating in, and facilitating meetings to get results. The RBF approch supports a group of individuals to move from talk to action by focusing on meeting results and by developing an accountability framework for action commitments. The RBF process s designed to move groups from talk to the actions that produce results in programs, organizations and communities.
The conceptual model for RBF integrates approaches from Ronald Heifetz (adaptive leadership), the White Institute (interaction of person, role, and system and B/ART–boundaries of authority, role and tasks), Myers Briggs Type Indicator (differential impact and responding to group dynamics), Ury and Fisher (interest based negotiation), Moore (conflict resolution) and Senge (systems thinking). At the core of RBF is the concept of results accountability (Friedman).
